Description: 1981 Season, January 24, 1982. The San Fransisco 49ers captured the team's first league championship in franchise history with a 26-21 win over Cincinnati at the Pontiac Silverdome. After driving 68 yards to the end zone on their first possession, the 49ers relied on stout defense and four field goals to preserve the win. The game-changing series came in the third quarter. Cincinnati drive to the three-yard line but the 49ers stopped them on four plays in one of the greatest goal-line stands in championship game history.
